Program Overview:
Our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is designed for students of all levels who are ready to deepen their practice, explore the philosophy of yoga and learn how to confidently lead their own classes. This immersive training will cover various aspects of yoga, including asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), meditation, anatomy, and the philosophy and history of yoga.
Program Schedule & Format:
Duration: The Program will 12 weekends long including 1 weekend off (11 weekends of classes): Sept 13th-Nov 22nd (off the weekend of 10/11)
Every Saturday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Every Sunday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Format: Classes will be held in-person in Dallas, with a mix of lectures, group discussions, and hands-on practice. Online resources may be provided to enhance your learning. You will be given at home assignments and take 10 classes outside of training.
What You’ll Learn:
Asana Practice & Teaching Techniques: Learn the foundations of yoga postures, correct alignment, and how to safely guide students through dynamic sequences. You'll also explore modifications, adjustments, and the use of props to support students of all levels.
Yoga Philosophy & History: Dive into the ancient wisdom of yoga, studying classical texts like the Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita. You'll gain an understanding of yoga's roots and how its teachings apply to modern life.
Pranayama & Meditation: Explore breath control techniques and meditation practices to deepen your connection with your mind and body. These tools will help you develop your personal practice and teach them effectively to your future students.
Anatomy & Physiology: Understand the human body from a yogic perspective. You’ll learn the key anatomical structures and functions to safely teach asanas and address the needs of different body types and abilities.
Sequencing & Class Planning: Gain the skills to create well-balanced, thoughtful sequences that are both creative and accessible. Learn how to structure classes that leave students feeling energized, grounded, and empowered.
Teaching Methodology & Ethics: Develop the confidence and techniques to guide students through transformative yoga classes. You’ll explore effective teaching cues, verbal and hands-on adjustments, and the ethical responsibilities of being a yoga teacher.
Practice Teaching: Throughout the training, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice teaching, receive feedback, and refine your skills in a supportive environment. By the end of the course, you’ll feel fully equipped to lead your own classes.
